**Exciting Opportunity for a Travel RN - 4N CCU!**
**Job Description:**
- **Location:** Kansas City, MO
- **Unit Name:** 4 North Cardiac Telemetry
- **Shift:** 7A-7P
- **Number of Beds:** 29
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4
**Unit Specifics:**
- **Support Staff:** Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, PCTs
- **Equipment:** Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, dinamap, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitor, EKG Machine, Bladder Scanner, Doppler, Imobile for communication
- **Documentation System:** Meditech
**Scheduling Requirements:**
- Must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
**Floating Policy:**
- Contract Nurses may be floated to areas where they have demonstrated competency
**Patient Experience Requirements:**
- Align with patient experience goals through respectful engagement, responsiveness to call lights, and personal connections
- Involve patients in bedside shift report and offer assistance before leaving the room
**Hiring Profile:**
**Requested Skill Set:**
- **Must Have:** Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience; ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
- **Advanced Skills Needed:**
- Experience in post-cardiac procedural care (Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart, permanent Pacemaker placements)
- Administer and titrate IV medications (insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone)
**Procedures Performed on Unit:**
- IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, Chest Tube maintenance, Temporary Pacemakers, Foley insertions
**Certifications Required:**
- ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
**Dress Code:**
- Navy Blue scrubs; black scrub pants with Navy Blue top permitted
