Must-Have:
Candidates must not be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with this healthcare organization.
Driver's license required and will be used to determine geographical eligibility.
Candidates must comply with the artificial nails policy, as refusal to remove artificial nails will result in termination of contract.
RNs must pass an open book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% to avoid termination.
Description:
This is a fast-paced ICU environment with a focus on high-quality patient care.
The unit serves adult and pediatric patients over 15 years old with various diagnoses, including neuro surgery, respiratory failure, ARDS, sepsis, stroke, and renal failure.
RNs will be involved in the care of patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions, including titration of vasopressors, sedation, and other critical care medications.
There will be a charge nurse present on each shift, and RNs will have nursing assistants to support patient care.
RNs are responsible for troubleshooting equipment and interpreting telemetry readings.
The schedule is created by management based on unit needs, with weekend and holiday requirements as specified.
RNs may be required to float to other inpatient units, excluding maternity and NICU.
The required dress code includes navy blue scrubs.
Strong critical thinking skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to collaborate with healthcare team members are essential attributes for success in this role.
