Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent ICU experience License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: No background or license issues Description: ICU Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an ICU setting. Locals accepted within a specified distance from the facility. Nursing license must be in hand prior to start date. 36 hours guaranteed per week. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS. Skills should include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure, arterial line management, and patient care with ventilators. Nurses will work a full 12-hour shift on their first day and should come prepared to orient to the floor. All requested time off must be included in the initial application. Nurses are responsible for independently measuring telemetry strips and accurately interpreting cardiac rhythms for all telemetry patients under their care. First-time travelers may be considered based on experience. Return travelers are eligible to return if in good standing. If not passing the telemetry assessment, nurses will receive educational resources and a remediation test during the first week of their contract.
