Description:
The position is for an ICU Registered Nurse in an Intensive Care Unit.
The unit consists of 33 beds with an average daily census of 16 patients.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2-3 for adults.
Common diagnoses include trauma, cardiac issues, overdose/substance abuse, sepsis, and respiratory distress.
Registered Nurses are required to titrate drips and manage a variety of medications.
Aides are available to assist, based on census demands.
Shifts are from 0630 to 1830 or 1830 to 0630, with self-scheduling available for core staff.
Floating to PCU or MedSurg may occur, maintaining the same patient ratio.
Holiday requirements include a minimum of two holidays within the contract time frame.
Every other weekend is required.
The charting system used is EPIC.
RNs must be able to read, interpret, and document telemetry strips.
RN must receive a passing score on mandatory assessments during orientation.
Artificial nails are not permitted.
Cancellation policy allows for up to four shifts to be canceled per assignment.
