**Exciting Opportunity for Travel RN - 4N CCU in Kansas City, MO!**
**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Travel RN - 4 North Cardiac Telemetry
- **Shift:** 7A-7P
- **Hours:** 48 hrs Guaranteed preferred
- **Start Date:** 12/14
**Unit Highlights:**
- **Beds:** 29
- **Patient Ratios:** 1:4
- **Staffing:** Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs available for support
- **Equipment:**
- Alaris IV Pumps
- SCD machines
- Hill Rom beds
- Dynamic patient monitoring tools
- **Documentation:** Meditech system
**Expectations:**
- **Scheduling:** Full-time hours with 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period
- **Floating Policy:** Flexibility to float to areas of demonstrated competency
- **Patient Experience:** Deliver exceptional care by treating each patient with courtesy and respect. Engage patients in their care by:
- Using their preferred name
- Involving them in bedside shift reports
- Teaching them to directly communicate with nursing staff
**Qualifications:**
- **Must Have:**
- Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience
- Ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips
- **Advanced Skills Needed:**
- Experience with post-cardiac procedural care (e.g., Ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Post Op Day 1 Open Heart)
- Proficient in administering and titrating IV medications (e.g., insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, Amiodarone)
- **Procedures Performed:**
- IV insertions
- NGT placement and maintenance
- Chest Tube maintenance
- Temporary Pacemakers
- Foley insertions
- **Certifications Required:**
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
**Dress Code:**
- Navy Blue scrubs or black scrub pants with a navy blue top
