Nurses will float to a variety of ICUs based on staffing and patient acuity. This includes Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, and Medical ICUs. Nurses are required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and monitoring patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Experience in rapid response, procedural sedation administration, and EVD management is essential. The ideal candidate will have skills in interpreting dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases. Interdisciplinary support is available from various specialties. The unit requires commitment for weekend shifts as part of staffing. All candidates must be responsive and cooperative with credentialing processes. References are required from professional colleagues, prioritizing those in leadership roles.
