Quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit’s standard of care. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy, and goals of the organization. Remains flexible to changing systems and is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. Treats staff, physicians, patients, and families with consideration and respect. Education and experience requirements include: - At least two years of documented ICU experience or attendance at an approved ICU training course with didactic and clinical experiences. - Basic computer skills. - Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Licenses and certifications required: - PALS and ACLS Certification within six months of hire. - CCRN encouraged. Physical requirements include: - Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions. - Frequent transferring of patients, including pulling, lifting, or pushing patients. Vision requirements include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care service appropriate to the age of patients served. Collaborates by working with others to achieve unit and organizational goals. Maintains and meets expectations for all competencies, licenses, certifications, and education requirements outlined by relevant regulatory agencies. Makes comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcomes. Monitors hemodynamic status of patients and correctly interprets findings. Participates in unit and integrated service projects to improve organizational performance. Willingly performs other duties and innovations as assigned.
