Must have at least 2 years of charge experience. Will float as needed within the facility. Guaranteed hours may be affected as the client can cancel shifts without penalty. Critical care experience is necessary. Skills required include telemetry, vents, A-lines, and pressors. Patient diagnoses include ETOH withdrawal, DKA, and general surgery. The unit is staffed with only 2 ICU nurses. The non-charge ICU nurse will work in ICU or MedSurg depending on census. Patients may range from infants to adults in acuity. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travelers must provide a reference from a supervisor. Background checks and fingerprinting are required. All applicants must be aware of compliance timelines and requirements. Pre-start modules must be completed prior to starting. All onsite modules are billable.
