Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse – Maryland
Start Date: October 2026
Location: Maryland
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours guaranteed weekly, 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, every other weekend required, may float to IMC as needed
Highlights:
- Specialized patient population including Trauma, Cardiovascular, Stroke, and Neuro cases
- Epic EMR system utilized for all documentation
- 24-hour orientation provided with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- 18-24 bed unit with daily census of approximately 18 patients
- Advanced equipment experience including CRRT, Intra-aortic Balloon Pump, and Intraventricular Drains (EVDs)
- One pre-approved time-off request available per contract
Requirements:
- Active RN license (pending licenses accepted)
- Minimum 2-3 years of recent critical care experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Epic charting system experience required
- Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Experience with patient ratio of 1:2 required
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)
- Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, and management of patients with multisystem dysfunction
