Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care - ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 3 years of ICU experience License: Registered Nurse License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: General ICU experience including: Ventilation/tracheostomy management Invasive line management (A-line, CVP, Swann) Drains/tube management Foley management Chest tubes Post-surgical recovery Post-catheterization experience Fresh heart experience preferred Continuous Venous Veno Hemofiltration (CVVH) Balloon Pumps Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) experience preferred Description: Level III Trauma Center with a focus on critical care. Required to wear PPE, including N95 masks and PAPRs. Patient ratio in ICU is RN: 1:2 (acuity based). Support on the unit includes charge nurse and intensivists available 24/7. The charting system used is EPIC, preferred experience. COVID patient care among various conditions such as sepsis, overdose, and delirium. Patient types include general surgical and cardiac/vascular cases. Flexible scrub color policy, excluding camo, denim, or hoodies. Evaluation of contract may occur with more than 2 sick calls. Travelers may float to intermediate units as needed. Weekend rotation is required every other weekend.
