Description

Job Opportunity – Critical Care Registered Nurse – Maryland

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours per week, 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. Patient ratio of 1:2. May float to IMC (Intermediate Care) as needed.

Highlights:

  • Treat a diverse patient population including trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro cases in a fast-paced critical care environment
  • Work with advanced equipment including CRRT, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and intraventricular drains (EVDs)
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding through Relias/Net Learning portal
  • Epic EMR charting system in a 24-bed unit with an 18-patient daily census
  • One pre-approved time-off request accepted per assignment

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (pending licenses accepted)
  • Minimum 2-3 years of critical care nursing experience required
  • Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in critical care settings
  • Community hospital and trauma center experience (Level I or II) strongly preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Competency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, CRRT, and post-surgical care
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no exemptions)
