Shift: 12hr Night Shift (36) Shift Information: 1845-0715 Clinical Interviewing- Yes On Call, Call Back Requirements: N/A Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend (every other weekend if preferred) Holiday Requirements: Rotation Basis of every other Floating Requirements: Yes- unit shares staff with cardiac unit, could go up to 5 Cardiac MS patients on nightshift

• Beds: 11

Experience: 2-3 years

• First-time traveler: Upon Review

Patient Types:

• This is a lower acuity ICU
• General ICU, Stroke(TNK), COVID, Medical, Surgical, Behavioral Health, Overdoses, post cardiac arrest, ventilators

Patient Ratios:

• 1:2-3 (Days & Nights) – acuity based

Required Certifications:

• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Skills required

• Read/interpret strips, Vents, Chest Tubes, Traches, Line management, proning experience,
• Bedside and Nursing Station tele monitoring, no tele tech in the ICU

Support on the Unit:

• CNA (Ratio 1:7)
• No HUC in the ICU
• Charge nurse: Will take patient assignment
• Phlebotomy: Available for peripheral blood draws
• IV/VAT Team: During dayshift M, W, F
• Resource Nurse – No
• RT, 24/7
• Hospitalist, 24/7
• ICU Educator
• OT, PT, ST – weekdays and variability on weekends
• Intensivisit: 0600-1800, eICU 1800-0600

Charting System/Equipment:

• EPIC
• Alaris
• Pyxis

Floating:

• Must be comfortable floating to the Cardiac unit

Orientation:

• One shift to learn flow

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: every other(default)
• Can we approve time off: Up to 7 days (default)
• Will they be on call: If so, what is that schedule: Varies, based on unit needs (default)
• Holiday Expectations: Varies, based on unit need (default)
