Nurses will be responsible for titrating various drips, including pressors, sedation, and insulin. Charge nurses do not have patient assignments. There is a dedicated ICU internal medicine team available 24/7. Respiratory therapy is on-site 24/7. Nurses will manage EKG monitoring and interpretation. Shifts may require flexibility, and weekend coverage is necessary. Holidays will be worked at the discretion of the nursing management. There are no call or standby requirements. Travelers may float to other units if staffing needs dictate. Support staff is available 24/7, but nurses are expected to draw labs and perform EKGs. It is essential that nurses clock in and out at the facility. The work environment emphasizes professionalism and supportive relationships among staff.
