Description:
Local rate applies to clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles.
Call-off policy: The client may cancel up to 24 hours for every 13-week assignment.
Clinicians returning within 12 months of their last worked date will not be eligible for non-billable orientation.
General job duties include managing vents, progressive unit patients, overdose/suicide patients, ART lines, and general ICU care.
Equipment utilized in the unit includes Onmicell, Accucheck, and EPIC for computerized charting and medication systems.
Required skills include previous ICU experience.
Specific licenses and certifications include BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIH stroke scale, and an RN license.
The shift schedule consists of 12-hour shifts.
Floating to other units may occur as needed, specifically to Medsurg.
The bed size for this unit is 8, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1:3.
Dress code is Caribbean Blue.
ICU orientation consists of an 8-hour shift.
In this role, weekends may be required.
Cancellation policy allows for cancellations of up to 24 hours per 13 weeks.
Charting system used in the unit is EPIC.
BSN is not required for this position.
PALS, ACLS, BLS certifications and NIHSS are required.
