Key responsibilities include performing assessments and reassessments as warranted by patient condition and making sound independent decisions. The RN initiates, prioritizes, implements, and revises the plan of care, collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services. Monitoring and documenting responses to clinical interventions are essential. The RN facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs during their stay and at discharge.
