Experience or Skills:
- NIHSS experience is required.
Floating Requirements:
- May be asked to float within Zone 1.
Nurse to Patient Ratios:
- 1:2
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor:
- The charge nurse may take assignments.
Support Staff:
- Clientist or Intensivist in-house.
Equipment in ICU:
- CPAP
- BiPAP
- High Flow
- Vents
Tele/Monitor Techs:
- Not available; RNs are required to read their own strips.
Shifts and Scheduling:
- Self-scheduling and block scheduling are allowed.
Weekend Requirements:
- Full- and part-time employees must self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule.
Holiday Requirements:
- Required.
Cancellation Policy:
- The hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
Charting System:
- EPIC
Care Setting:
- Acute
Shift Notes:
- Nights with 6-9 weekend shifts in a six-week schedule.
- May float into other acuity levels such as PCU/Stepdown.
