Must-Have:
Experience must include either neuro or cardiovascular care.
UNA Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance.
Pass/fail simulation lab assessment required on Day 1 of orientation.
Charge nurse responsibilities without taking patients.
Ability to titrate drips, including Propofol, fentanyl, and more.
Description:
This position requires a full three years of recent ICU experience to be considered.
No exceptions will be made regarding experience requirements.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a Level 1 trauma center.
Common patient cases include falls, gunshot wounds, blunt trauma, motor vehicle accidents, and more.
Candidates will be expected to float between intensive care units as needed.
Self-scheduling is allowed, but the manager may need to balance shifts for unit needs.
Weekend requirements include three weekend shifts in a four-week schedule.
Holidays may allow for one holiday off during the assignment.
There is no on-call or standby requirement; however, low census may occur.
There are no tele/monitor techs on the unit; RNs are required to interpret their own strips.
Experience in similar size units is preferred.
All candidates must have current certifications and a valid RN license.
