**Job Description:**
- **Unit Information:**
- Location: 7ES
- Address: 7777 Forest Lane, Dallas, Texas, 75230
- Floor: 7
- Building: E
- Total Beds: 10
- Staff: 4 dedicated professionals
- **Nursing Team Structure:**
- Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse and RNs based on census (no techs)
- Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse and RNs based on census (no techs)
- **Patient Ratios:**
- 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- **Equipment Utilized:**
- Ventilators, CRRT, A-lines, BiPAP, Flow-track, IV pumps
- **Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:**
- Meditech
- **Skills and Experience Required:**
- Must Have:
- Strong ICU experience (titrating drips, caring for patients on ventilators)
- Experience with BiPAP patients
- Preferred:
- CRRT experience
- Transplant experience (Kidney, Pancreas, Liver)
- **Typical Procedures:**
- Comprehensive care of critically ill patients
- Total patient care, including turning, titrating drips, dressing changes, and tracheostomy care
- **Ideal Candidate Traits:**
- Compassionate and caring
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Strong rapport-building with physicians
- **Required Certifications:**
- ACLS
- BLS
- **Floating Areas:**
- All ICUs, PCU, BMT
- **Dress Code:**
- Blue scrubs
- **Shift Details:**
- Report at 0645/1845 pm
- Clock in/out for lunch
- Rotating weekends
- **Experience Required:**
- Minimum of 1 year in ICU
