Hiring Profile

Must-Have Experience

  • Acute Care ICU experience

  • Trauma ICU experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center

  • Surgical ICU experience

  • Strong critical-care assessment and clinical judgment skills

  • LTAC experience will not be considered

Advanced Clinical Skills & Procedures

Experience with:

  • Intubation and extubation

  • Chest tube placement

  • Central line placement

  • Arterial line placement

  • Foley catheter placement

  • Bronchoscopy

  • Endoscopy

  • Proning

  • TPA administration

  • Hypertonic medication administration

  • Tracheostomy placement

  • EVD / bolt placement

  • CRRT / Hemodialysis

  • Irrigation and debridement

  • Minor surgical procedures

Required Certifications
  • Valid RN License

  • BLS

  • ACLS
  • NIH Certification
Floating

Travelers float before core staff.

Potential floating areas include:

  • MICU

  • NSICU

  • CVICU

  • CICU

  • Step Down

Travelers must be flexible with floating requirements.
