Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting within a Magnet-designated, teaching hospital
- Float within scope to other units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
- Accurately document patient care and clinical assessments using Epic/Excellian
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care in a Level III Trauma environment
- Adhere to all facility compliance, safety, and policy requirements throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Minnesota license in hand preferred — candidates without MN licensure must initiate the application process upon offer acceptance
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred; experience requirements vary by position
- Pending licenses may be considered
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this position)
- Must be willing and able to complete fingerprinting as required by Minnesota state law — results must be on file prior to start
- Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required at time of submission
- No open background cases; all background hits are reviewed during the compliance process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience charting in Epic/Excellian
- Prior travel nursing experience in an acute care or ICU setting
- Ability to float within a hospital system or to affiliate facilities as needed
