Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. Coordinates, manages, provides, and delegates patient care. Meets established Standards of Nursing Practice. Recognizes signs and symptoms of cardiac or respiratory distress or other impending emergencies. Demonstrates knowledge and ability to function effectively in Code Blue and other emergency situations. Administers and charts medications according to hospital policies and procedures. Implements and/or assists with the implementation and documentation of planned education. Assesses patients' educational needs. Assists in the development and education of new staff members. Attends and participates in staff meetings. Completes education, training, and competencies for department-specific skills. Successfully adapts to changes in the unit, environment, and workflow. Assures patient charge items are documented correctly. Utilizes department resources appropriately. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
