Description:
This role involves providing care in a critical care environment.
The unit has 12 beds and employs a staff of 34.
Staff includes a Day Shift Director, Manager, Clinical Coordinator, RNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
Night Shift staff consists of RNs and Patient Care Technicians.
Patient ratios can be 2:1, 3:1, or 1:1 depending on acuity.
Typical equipment includes CRRT, IABP, Impella, Arctic Sun, BIS, Vigilance, Cheetah, and Pyxis.
The electronic medical record system used is Meditech.
Candidates must have ACLS and BLS certification.
Experience in surgical procedures is preferred.
Typical procedures on the unit include drains and central line placement.
A strong focus on teamwork is essential for this position.
This position requires every other weekend availability with no on-call duty.
