Staff includes a Day Shift Director, Manager, Clinical Coordinator, RNs, Externs, and Paramedics on the day shift. Night Shift staff consists of RNs and Externs. Patient ratios are typically 2:1, 3:1, or 1:1 depending on patient needs. The unit utilizes a range of advanced equipment including Tablo, IABP, Impella, Brain Cool, Swan Ganz, BIS, Vigilance, Baxter, Hemosphere, and Pyxis. Electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates with cardiac experience and CCRN certification will be prioritized. Common procedures performed within the unit include TVP, TCP, post cath, sheath removal, bedside trach, and SLED. The ideal candidate will possess a team-focused mindset. There are no block scheduling guarantees, and weekend shifts are required every other weekend. No on-call shifts are expected. Unit policies and guidelines will be provided upon hiring.
