TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Muncie, Indiana, 47303!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 12 months Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 3 years in ICU License: Must have a valid in-state license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: First timers accepted Weekend requirement: Every third weekend Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit. The nurse will work three 12-hour night shifts per week. The patient ratio is typically 1 nurse to 2 patients. Candidates are required to have a minimum of 3 years of ICU experience. ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory. NIHSS certification is preferred. Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays. COVID-19 vaccination is not required, but the flu vaccine is mandatory with medical or religious exemptions only. Local candidates will not be accepted for this position. Candidates must be able to float within the hospital or to nearby facilities as needed. Candidates with prior experience in a neuro intensive care environment are preferred. Skills such as accessing and managing ports, arterial line management, and ventilator management are essential. The daily patient census ranges from 14 to 18 patients, with 18 beds available in the unit. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates should be prepared for routine care of patients with acute and chronic conditions in a fast-paced environment. Consideration will be given to candidates who meet the experience and certification requirements.
