Job Opportunity – ICU Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 13-week assignment, 3x12 hour rotating shifts (days and nights), 0700-1900 and 1900-0700. Rotation schedule varies (may be monthly, bi-weekly, or occasional swaps; never within the same week). Self-scheduling available. 2:1 patient ratio across all shifts.

  • Intensive Care Unit in a 303-bed regional academic medical center serving a multi-state area
  • 20-bed unit with daily census of approximately 20 patients
  • Cerner EMR system; experience highly preferred
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, lift teams, and more
  • Self-scheduling model with flexible rotation patterns
  • 12-hour orientation provided; one pre-approved time off period available

Requirements:

  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS (required); PALS and TNCC (preferred)
  • Cerner charting system experience highly preferred
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Previous charge nurse experience preferred
  • Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
  • Proficiency in critical care skills including ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, arterial line management, central line care, hemodynamic monitoring, and dysrhythmia management
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location
