Description:
The IMC RN position is for day shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 08:00 to 20:30.
This unit has high acuity with a patient ratio of 1:3.
There is a requirement to float within the specialty and to lower acuity as needed.
Weekends are required every other weekend, and holidays may also be required as scheduled.
The patient population includes adults and geriatrics facing various diagnoses including respiratory failure, CHF, STEMI, multi-system organ failure, and sepsis.
The role involves interdisciplinary support from various teams such as IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services.
Essential skills include managing arterial lines, central lines, and care for ventilated patients.
The candidate must be comfortable with cardiac telemetry and managing high-flow nasal cannula systems.
Experience with the Epic charting system is required.
