Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: State or compact license required in-hand prior to start Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS required. CCRN or CMSRN or RN-BC preferred Must-Have: Driver's license must be included with submission. Years of experience required: 2 years. Float required within scope to meet facility needs. First-timers accepted depending on experience. Local rate applies within an 80-mile radius. Pending state license not accepted. Call out if more than a week is required. Description: The role requires a registered nurse specializing in the ICU. Work schedule includes three 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include working on Labor Day and weekends on rotation. Experience in a medical intensive care unit is preferred. Familiarity with the Meditech charting system is preferred. Travel experience is required. Clinicians should demonstrate skills in various critical care procedures. Patient care will include management of complex cases and ventilated patients. Maintain patient safety and administer emergency medications when necessary. Monitor and interpret vital signs and laboratory results. Perform and manage invasive procedures such as central line insertion. Assist with the management of patients undergoing surgeries and procedures. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive care. Adhere to infection prevention protocols and practice isolation precautions. Executing patient care plans focusing on acute and chronic conditions. Participate in continuous education and training as required.
