Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, NIH certification Must-Have: - 1 year critical care experience - Experience with Meditech - Ability to manage arterial lines, venous/arterial sheaths, cardiovascular and vasopressor drips, ventilated patients Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for an Intensive Care Unit. The unit has 20 beds with a patient ratio of 2:1 for critical care patients. The staffing includes unit secretaries on day and night shifts, with occasional tech assistance. Equipment used includes GE monitors, Alaris pumps, and Puritan Bennett ventilators. The documentation system in place is Meditech. The position requires 36 hours of work per week, including 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks. Contract labor will float before core staff as per the floating policy. The unit performs bedside central line placements and follows massive transfusion protocols. This is a high-level care unit providing advanced skills and technology. The team focuses on reducing time spent in electronic health records to enhance patient care. A flexible schedule is available, and recent upgrades to equipment have occurred.
