Job Title: Overflow ICU Float Pool RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30); Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in critical care License: License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous travel assignment experience Description: Responsible for providing care in overflow MICU and SICU areas. The role involves floating to various ICU and IMC units as required. Requires 2 years of ICU experience and at least 1 previous travel assignment. Nurses will be assigned from a staffing office based on the needs of the facility. Patient ratios are typically 2 during days, nights, and weekends. Candidates should possess skills in managing ventilated patients, arterial lines, and central lines. Experience with neuro and trauma care is preferred. COVID-19 vaccination is not required; however, flu vaccine is required with no exemptions. Team-oriented behavior and alarm management skills are emphasized. All candidates must provide supervisory references. No requested time off is permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment. Travelers must be comfortable proceeding without an interview. Candidates will undergo compliance requirements upon hire. Additional specific skills may be required based on unit demands. Candidates must be able to adapt to various critical care environments.
