Job Title: Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Day/Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse Certifications: Minimum: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion Description: This position requires a full-time registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. The schedule includes variable shifts of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The individual must complete required certifications during clinical orientation. Basic Coronary Care certification is required within six months of hire. Crisis Prevention Intervention certification is required within 90 days of hire. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal, communication, and organization skills. Computer literacy is preferred, including experience with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records. The role demands a focus on safety, dignity, respect, and well-being of patients. The nurse must demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The individual is expected to manage multiple priorities and enhance teamwork through effective role modeling.
