Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Cardiac Critical Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1930 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2-3 years in critical care License: Current RN license in the applicable state Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of critical care background. - Experience in ventilator management with respiratory therapy support. - Proficient in titratable vasoactive drips. Description: The purpose of this position is to provide critical care nursing to patients who require intensive monitoring and treatment. The unit consists of 16 beds that cater to various cardiac patients such as post-cath STEMIs and NSTEMIs. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on the needs of the unit. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical skills in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with equipment such as ventilators, Arctic Sun, temporary pacemakers, and Swan-Ganz catheters is essential. Experience with electronic medical records, specifically Epic, is preferred. The candidate should be ready to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care. A commitment to ongoing education and professional development is expected. This position may require floating to other areas within the facility during periods of low census. Also, the candidate must be willing to work every other weekend.
