Description:
ICU RN - Nights, 36 hours per week.
Minimum of 1 year experience required.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Shifts are 3x12 hours during the night.
The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2, and may increase to 3 with lower acuity.
Patient age range is from adults to geriatrics.
Common diagnoses include sepsis, pneumonia, MSOF, surgical cases, neuro conditions, CVA, cardiac/pulmonary issues, and renal problems.
Special procedures in this unit include bronchoscopies, PUGs, and tracheostomy management.
Every third weekend is required, as well as holidays as scheduled.
Floating within the specialty and to lower acuity as needed is required.
No pre-scheduled on-call duties are required.
Scrub color is navy blue.
Daily census is around 20 patients.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
Candidates must be comfortable floating within the scope of practice without restrictions.
Compliance with certifications and license requirements is essential.
