Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum 1 year recent ICU experience Experience caring for critically ill adult patients Cardiac rhythm interpretation Ventilator management Titration of vasoactive drips ACLS and BLS certification Ability to work independently in an ICU setting Description: The purpose of this position is to provide exceptional patient care within the ICU. The unit is an 8-bed ICU that manages a diverse range of critically ill patients. Nurses will care for patients experiencing sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, and cardiac issues. They will also monitor stroke patients and post-operative ICU patients. Patient ratios are typically 1:2 in the ICU. The unit utilizes advanced equipment, including telemetry monitoring systems and mechanical ventilators. Effective communication and teamwork are essential in this role. The work environment is designed for flexibility and adaptability. Nurses must have strong patient-focused skills and the ability to assist across departments during emergencies. Candidates should be comfortable working in a community hospital environment. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs, with restrictions on open-toed shoes and excessive jewelry. All candidates must be willing to float to Med/Surg, PCU, and ED as required. Candidates should also demonstrate experience with sepsis management and code response. This position requires a positive attitude and a team-oriented approach.
