Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 3+ years of experience required; completion of 1+ travel assignment required; primarily ICU experience preferred. License: Michigan license verification required. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS (AHA) Must-Have: Skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. Description: The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates, and delegates activities in order to foster patient and family-centered care. Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, and professional development. A strict attendance policy is in place to advocate for the patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift three times will be terminated immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will be enforced from a specified date.
