Please ensure traveler is aware of the following:
Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team."
There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team.
Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts may vary.
By signing your travel contract to take a position, you accept the aforementioned conditions.
You should not apply for a role if you are not comfortable with these expectations.
Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually:
Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's.
Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require traveler coverage.
Holiday assignments are based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation.
Unit will accept first-time travelers.
Block scheduling may be considered.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Daily patient census is approximately 24.
Staffing ratios for patients are typically 1:5 to 1:6.
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
Special procedures include TPN management, wound care, drain management, foley catheter insertion, and narcotic administration.
You will take care of ventilated patients at a ratio of 4:1, which may be reduced to 3:1 if the patient is placed on a drip.
Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy services.
References are not required for submission, but 2 manager/supervisor references will be needed before contract start.
All candidates must separate from previous employment for a full year before they can return as travelers.
Modules are billable and are completed during orientation.
Modules are recorded via facility processes.
Ensure that all necessary certifications and reports are up to date prior to submission.
