Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Epic experience required Must be comfortable with emergency assignments as directed by unit management. Description: Cross posting opportunity available. Travelers may be assigned to an "Emergency Team," requiring them to remain available until the event passes. Specific pay details will be relayed as needed during emergency events. Orientation hours total 8. Certifications required include ACLS and BLS. Skills required include TPN management, wound care, drain management, foley catheter insertion, and narcotic administration. Patient ratios experience should include 1:5/6. Unit will accept first-time travelers. Epic experience is essential; LTAC experience is not required. Modified scheduling may be considered. Backfill for cancellation. Staffing ratios for days and nights are consistent, with additional weekend coverage expected. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Daily census approximately 28 with a capacity of 35 beds. Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy and service teams. Special procedures include care for TPN patients, wound care, and management of patients on ventilation. Emergency assignments may involve coordination with various specialties. Documentation and charting will be done using an electronic health record system. References are not required for submission but will be needed for clearance. Compliance with licensure and certification renewal is essential.
