The average daily census for the unit is 44 patients. The unit provides care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The patient diagnoses include various critical conditions. Special procedures and equipment may be utilized in the unit. You will be part of an interdisciplinary support team including various specialists. There will be a requirement for weekend coverage every other weekend. Clinical skills may include managing ventilated patients and administering emergency medications. You should have experience in monitoring and interpreting vital signs and lab results. Candidates must maintain professional and up-to-date certifications.
