Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU- Provide care for medical ICU patients with conditions such as respiratory failure, renal failure, and sepsis
- Manage chronic ventilators and trachs, and monitor hemodynamically unstable patients
- Perform tasks such as trach care, chest tube management, and PIV starts
- Administer and monitor vasoactive medications and manage invasive lines
- Assist with or manage bedside procedures, including chest tube placements and tracheostomies
- Utilize technology such as EMR (EPIC) and Alaris IV pumps
Requirements of the RN - ICU- NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience
- Skills in managing drips, invasive lines, and ventilator support
