Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in service line required License: TX RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Previous charge experience - Familiarity with charting systems, preferably Altera - Travel experience preferred - Must live 150 miles or more from facility Description: Registered Nurses deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patients and visitors while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Registered Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Due to the broad range of medical conditions encountered, nurses must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions. May be asked to float to different floors or campuses. Must accommodate requests for time off while being able to work full hours around time off or only miss 1-2 shifts maximum. Mandatory drug screening upon arrival is required, which includes testing for marijuana; a positive result will lead to automatic cancellation, with no exceptions. Candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive drug screening upon arrival. Clinicians must be available to complete needed lab items within 72 hours of accepting the offer or have a plan in place for completion in that timeframe. Modules are non-billable and factored in non-billable orientation time, averaging 6-8 hours. Modules are completed during the orientation process.
