Description:
This position is for an ICU Registered Nurse specializing in caring for critically ill patients.
The unit has 10 beds and is staffed with a charge nurse and RNs according to patient census.
Nurses are responsible for direct patient care, including turning, dressing changes, and tracheostomy care.
The typical patient ratio is 2:1.
Equipment used in the unit includes ventilators, CRRT, A-lines, BiPAP, Flow-tracks, and IV pumps.
The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech.
Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with physicians.
Compassion and the ability to work well with others are vital to success in this role.
Candidates with experience in CRRT and transplant cases (kidney, pancreas, liver) will be given priority.
Weekend shifts are required on a rotating basis.
