Candidates should have a minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience. Experience with charting in any system is required. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential skills. Candidates must be skilled in managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure. Experience with arterial line management and central line care is necessary. Ability to perform continuous IV sedation and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips is expected. Management of patients on BiPAP/CPAP and ventilated patients is required. Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and suctioning skills are essential. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols is needed.
