The nurse will work night shifts, with each shift lasting 12 hours. The role requires a minimum of 1.5 years of experience in an ICU setting. Candidates must possess an active nursing license. Certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support are required. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure. Skills in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential. The nurse will be responsible for the care of ventilated patients and managing arterial and central lines. Candidates should be proficient in titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. Experience in continuous IV sedation and management of BiPAP/CPAP is also necessary. Interpretation of arterial blood gases and suctioning skills are required. The unit accepts first-time travelers and follows a patient-centered care model.
