Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience with medical surgical ICU patient population - Proficiency in Epic charting system Description: The Registered Nurse will work in an intensive care unit focused on adult to geriatric patients. Patients will include those with conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and acute kidney disease. The nurse will be responsible for managing complex patient cases, including drug overdose and metabolic encephalopathy. Key skills include assisting with chest tube insertion, ventilator management, and IV drip titration. The nurse will maintain central and arterial lines as well as provide care for patients on continuous renal replacement therapy. The expected patient ratio is 2-3 patients per nurse. Flexibility to float within the facility is required. Working on major holidays may be necessary. The role involves collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams including therapy services and pharmacy. Compliance with orientation and onboarding requirements is mandatory for timely start. Ideal candidates should possess strong critical thinking and assessment skills. This position is suited for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
