Description:
Minimum experience required is 2 years.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Clinical skills should include care for patients with ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, and more.
Block scheduling is not guaranteed.
No travel pairs are accepted regardless of other unit assignments.
The patient ratio is 1:2-3; travelers should be prepared for the possibility of a 3rd patient.
The unit consists of 24 rooms with an average daily census of 19.
The patient population includes adults to geriatrics.
Unit systems used include Pyxis and Epic.
Scrub color is navy blue.
Travelers are expected to work every other weekend unless specified.
Floating within the facility is required as needed.
Holidays worked depend on the assignment period; if two major holidays occur, the traveler is expected to work both.
Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
Full compliance is required to start on time.
Candidates will undergo a clinical review to ensure a good fit for the role.
Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
All requests for time off must be finalized at the time of submission.
Maximum time off allowed is 7 days.
No requests for time off can be made during orientation week.
Compliance may require completing core items and labs within a specified time frame.
Non-billable hours will be included in the contract duration.
