Travel Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care - $1,948 per week in Corpus Christi, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Critical Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred License: Current RN License in the state of practice Certifications: Current BLS certification required Current ACLS certification required Must-Have: Experience with knowledge and recovery of post-cardiothoracic surgery fresh out of the operating room Experience with IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, TABLO XT, CRRT, and high-acuity patients with multiple comorbidities Previous experience with electronic health record software preferred Description: The competent nurse in a critical care setting practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Administers medications and treatments according to the appropriate protocol, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers. Identifies issues and resources to assist in patient care. Experience in a critical care setting preferred, but new graduates will be considered. Completion of all annual competency verification requirements is expected.
