The nurse will be responsible for providing critical care to adult and geriatric patients. Common diagnoses include DKA, CVA, CP, post-surgical care, electrolyte imbalances, overdose, and psychiatric issues. The unit currently has 5 beds with plans for expansion to 10 beds. Patient ratios will be 2-3:1. The equipment used includes ventilators, bipap machines, IV drips, and glucometers. The electronic health record system utilized is Medhost. The ideal candidate should be able to work collaboratively with the team, as a family-like atmosphere is fostered. All clinical staff must meet state requirements prior to the start of the assignment. Unacceptable attire includes casual wear; appropriate scrub attire is expected.
