Description: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Intensive Care Unit. The unit consists of 16 beds with an average daily census of 10 patients. This position requires management of critically ill patients, including those with ARDS, sepsis, COPD, DKA, and stroke. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1 for ICU patients and 3:1 for Intermediate Care patients. Support staff includes 1 to 2 CNAs who assist with activities of daily living and transport. Charge nurses and resource nurses are present on the unit. Registered Nurses should have experience with art line management, vasoactive medication titration, and ventilator management and weaning. Critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. Technology used includes EMR systems, IV pumps, and specific unit equipment. The facility provides 24/7 support from respiratory therapists and hospitalists, with intensivists also available around the clock.
