Unit specializes in the care of burn patients, including post-operative and general medical/surgical ICU patients. The unit has a total of 8 beds with a staff of 19 members. Day shift typically consists of 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, and 1 wound technician. Night shift also includes 1 charge nurse and 3 RNs. Patient ratios range from 1:2 to 1:3. Equipped with GE monitors and Plum IV pumps. Utilizes Meditech for electronic medical records. Candidates should possess strong ICU assessment skills, be proficient in ventilator management, fluid resuscitation, wound care, and pain management. The ideal candidate is team-oriented with good communication skills. This position offers the opportunity to provide critical care to burn patients during their acute and recovery phases.
