# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse – Western North Carolina

Start Date: September 14, 2026

Location: Western North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day and night shift positions available; team-based care model with weekend rotation and holiday coverage per staffing matrix; 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling period

Highlights:
  • 30-bed acute care unit providing medical-surgical to ICU level of care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Patient ratios: Step-down/ICU 2-4:1; Med-Surg 5-6:1 with 2-3 PCT support
  • Team-based care model with daily interdisciplinary collaboration including physicians, nursing, case management, pharmacy, and rehabilitation services
  • EMR system: Cerner; unit equipped with IV pumps, SCDs, wound vac, Baxter feeding pumps, and Pyxis medication system
  • Procedures include IV starts, central venous lines, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care

Requirements:
  • Current RN license
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required (must be completed prior to end of orientation)
  • 1 year of medical-surgical experience preferred
  • ICU or step-down experience highly preferred
  • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
