Job Title: RN - ICU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year of current ICU hospital experience - BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications Description: This position involves working in a general mixed ICU with a variety of patients. The unit treats medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurosurgery patients. It also includes post-operative open-heart patients, ECMO, balloon pump, Impella, and CRRT. The ICU has 38 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center. There are 125 staff members, including charge nurses and staff nurses. The patient-to-nurse ratios are typically 2:1 and can be 1:1 depending on patient acuity. Available equipment includes Stryker beds, Avea ventilators, GE monitors, and Baxter IV pumps. Typical bedside procedures include bronchoscopy, GI scopes, chest tube insertion, and arterial and central line insertions. Airway care and frequent drip titrations are also performed in the unit. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong attention to detail. The unit offers a friendly and collaborative work environment. It is located near the mountains, providing opportunities for outdoor activities based on the season.
